Ometepe Island

Ometepe Island is home to two majestic volcanoes connected by a small strip of land. Concepción, is an active and perfectly cone-shaped  and Maderas, is an extinct volcano shrouded in a cloud forest that boasts a misty lagoon within its crater. Ometepe island has stunning natural landscapes, rich archaeological heritage, numerous natural reserves and forests that showcase a high level of biodiversity. A variety of pre-Columbian artifacts are scattered throughout the island.


The island is home to a variety of religious and folk festivals. Places of interest are the Charco Verde trail, Museo La Ceiba, Ojo Agua, San Ramón waterfall, petroglyph tours, kayaking, horseback riding, and volcano hiking.

Tour Day 1. The venture in Ometepe Island is done by car or motorbike. You'll visit some of the highlights of Isla Ometepe, such as Punta Jesus Maria, Cascada San Ramon, Ojo De Aqua, Museum el Ceibo, Volcan Concepcion, and Volcan Maderas.
