Estelí

The department of Esteli is well-known for its profitable tobacco industry and arts and crafts. Its Impressive archaeological sites, stunning waterfalls, and commitment to conservation through its nature reserves and national parks. Nearby city of Esteli’ are ancient petroglyphs, fossils, and skeletal remains of ancient animals. A dirt road from Estelí leads to San Juan de Limay, a small town famous for crafting marvelous soapstone statues and works of art. Estelí is Nicaragua’s primary hub for cigar production.

Estelí is home to the city of Muralism, marble artisans, the only Paleontological Museum, and Megafauna Park.

Some interesting places to visit include the Somoto Canyon National Monument, Petroglyphs Painted Stones – Icalupe, Petroglyphs Aguas Calientes, Coffee farms, and Cigar factories.

Tour Day 1. Cigar factory tour to some of the finest tobacco plantations and hand-rolled cigars in the world. You will learn art of cigar-making and be able to buy the products directly from the provider and support the local economy.
